Recently, while staying nearby, we rose early one morning to tackle the
hike to Castle Rock -- a pile of giant boulders and sheer rock towers sitting at
the top of 1.5km of moderately steep trail.
Beneath the karris, the air was cool and moist and, high above in the
canopy; birds were noisily calling out to each other, warning of our approach.
It was heavenly.
After a heart-thumping climb we reached the summit, scrambled over
