At Windrush Wines, 8km southwest of Mount
Barker on the heritage trail along St Werburgh's
Road, a favourite is Devonshire tea with two
fluffy homemade scones served with thick cream
and seasonal fruit jam. They also offer a delicious

For tastings and for something to eat, Jingalla
Wines on Bolganup Dam Road does a range
of platters, but you need to pre-order them so
Jingalla can make them up fresh. Contact them on

Castle Rock Estate will do lovely picnic hampers
so you can eat there or take lunch on the road. This
is another place you need to pre-order food though,
so give them a call on (08) 9853 1035.
Other wineries with cellar doors include
Ironwood Estate (2191 Porongurup Rd) and
Zarephath Wines (Moorialup Rd).
There are quite a few open by appointment
only, so it pays to call ahead if you are interested.
