Perth’s fascinating history.
OUTSIDE THE CBD
Love a short break from the
children without the expense or
the stress of a taking long trip?
Take a little holiday from home
and have a big night out without
waiting for a cab home. Find a

BUsiness Consider staying in the
inner city and having a real change
from life out in the ‘burbs, which
can get a bit boring. It’s close to
the banks, close to the stockbroker
and close to a really good bar,
should the need for one arise!

If it’s a little peace and tranquillity
you’re looking for, have a look
around Perth’s suburbs. Whether
you’re looking for accommodation
for family and friends, heading
to Perth for business or simply
wanting to take a break from daily
life, there’s plenty of top-quality
accommodation within a 30km
radius of the CBD in Joondalup,
on the river or along the coast,
from guesthouses and bed and
breakfasts to luxury resorts. People
travel miles and miles for golfing
weekends in far-flung places, but
only a short drive from inner city
Perth – and closer for many of us –
are resorts and country club-style
accommodation facilities with golf
courses to rival the best in the world,
as well as tennis courts, spas and
swimming pools. Fremantle – the
home of cafe culture – is a vibrant
and exciting place to stay, too.
In this bustling port city, streets
lined with Victorian buildings are
studded with shops, restaurants
and cafes and the iconic Fremantle
Markets bring cosmopolitan life to
the streets, all weekend long.
