The Navy Pier is one of the top ten
shore dives in the world; the Muiron
Islands and Cod Hole are great sites
for underwater exploring.
See green, hawksbill and
loggerhead turtles dig themselves
out of the sand and make the
journey into the water in February.
Jurabi is the best place to try. Never
disturb the turtles by getting too
close, making noise or shining
lights at them.
There are plenty of gorge walks
at Cape Range National Park for
all ability levels. See the scenery
change from white sand beaches to
rugged limestone ranges and deep
canyons. For a spectacular view,
drive up to Charles Knife Canyon
(22km south of Exmouth) and take
a bushwalk. The colours of the cliffs
are best enjoyed at sunset.

national parks, Exmouth
is the perfect getaway for
camping, hiking, outdoor and
water-sport enthusiasts. There’s
a good selection of resorts, hotels,
a motel, caravan parks, short-
term holiday houses, B&Bs and
farm-stay accommodation, but
you still need to book well in
advance not to miss out. There are
pubs, taverns, restaurants, fish-
and-chip shops, cafes, a bakery
and two supermarkets. Exmouth
has a visitor centre, internet
cafes, barbecue facilities, banks,
sporting facilities, movie theatre,
airport, hospital, vehicle service/
repair and three boat-launching
areas. You can hire snorkelling
equipment from the mini-golf
business, euro car hire, caravan
parks and the information centre
at Cape Range National Park.

Drive | 12 hours from Perth on Great Northern Highway.
Fly | From Perth with Skywest daily, or Qantas flies three days
a week into Exmouth
Bus | There is no bus service into Exmouth.
GOOD TO KNOW
You can reserve a campsite in the popular Cape Range National
Park on the DEC website 48 hours in advance to make sure you
don’t miss out. Book well in advance in winter.
The current single-lane Tantabiddi Boat Ramp is being replaced
with a modern two-lane facility to accommodate bigger vessels
and other recreational boats, as well as two finger jetties to ensure
the safety of the passengers.
