Contemporary Aboriginal Art Celebrating the Expression of Gija Culture
Close to the Great Northern Highway, the Art Centre provides a rich and rewarding visitor
experience. Warmun artists are renowned for their paintings using natural ochre and
pigments dug from their land in the Eastern Kimberley. Warmun artworks are an expression
of Gija country and culture drawing on traditional Ngarranggarni (Dreaming) stories,
contemporary experiences and representations of unique Kimberley landscapes including
nearby Purnululu (Bungle Bungles). Open: Weekdays 9 – 4pm. Please ring for verbal
permit to enter the community.
