The Meelup Trail is a 7km one-way coastal walk between Eagle Bay and
Dunsborough. There are various road accesses between Meelup and Castle
Rock beaches, and there are beautiful scenic lookouts dotted along here as
well. The start of the Cape to Cape is fully sealed for 2.2km and provides
access for wheelchairs and prams. It’s a lovely and easy meander with
great views. Hamelin Bay to White Cliff Lookout is an easy 1km return on a
moderately boarded walk, to the lookout with views to Hamelin Island.
Smiths Beach to Wyadup is a 4km rocky trail, but you will be rewarded
with fantastic views. Wilyabrup Road to Gracetown is a 9km walk over
the beach, sandy tracks and clifftop paths. It will take you about half a
day at a good pace, and there are great lookouts along the way. Spot the
climbers and abseilers on the Wilyabrup Cliffs.
Redgate Beach to Contos Road is a 7km beach walk. Hard, you say? The
sand is always a challenge when trudging for a while. The walk also goes
over the cliff tops for the view.
All year round, the Margaret River region offers up plenty to do for the
ol’ romantic. In the wintertime, there is nothing better than cosying
up with your partner, and, considering the weather is still a little chilly
come spring, this extends right up until at least November. There are
plenty of luxury retreats and unique accommodation ideas to hide
away in, as well as plenty of spas to unwind and relax with pampering
treatments. Or, spend your days in complete privacy by hiring a private
chef or masseuse to come to you.
With a wealth of idyllic spa retreats and secluded
getaways, the region is a destination of choice for
those seeking some alone time together...
With the rugged beauty of the coastline and the
natural beauty of the national parks, there is plenty
to explore in the region. Undoubtedly the most
famous in the region, and for good reason, here are
some of our picks from the Cape to Cape
