Patricia Hines | Black Feather – Red Tail, $1600
Artist | Patricia Hines’ experience with an array of
printing techniques has culminated in these new works,
incorporating both painting and printing. She has also
been printing on multi-layers of Perspex, creating
interest and depth to her subject matter.

a creek, deep in the jarrah forest near my home.
It forms part of my connection to the land and

Canal Rocks Sunset, $1500
Artist | Benjamin James Knapinski has been
photographing WA’s natural landscapes for 15 years
and endeavours to keep colours as real as possible.
His new pictorial souvenir book, Margaret River Region,
is released in 2012.
Artwork | This image took Benjamin many months
to capture, continually going to go to the same
location day after day until the light, water, sky and
atmosphere were perfect.

Wakartu Cory Surprise | Kuljalputi, $2500
Artist | Wakartu Cory Surprise, who passed away
in 2011, has been one of the most awarded Western
Australian Aboriginal artists. She won the Best
Western Australian Artist in the Art Gallery of
Western Australia’s Indigenous Art Awards in 2010,
and won the overall prize in 2011.
Artwork | Kuljalputi depicts a claypan inside of a salt
lake, which the artist says is where her relatives go
when they become sick and pass away.

Theordore Tipiloura | Untitled (over page), $900
Artist | Theordore Tipiloura is a wood sculptor
who resides at Bathurst Island (part of the Tiwi
Islands) in the Northern Territory, and paints from
the Jilamara Art Centre.
Artwork | Theordore carves his birds from
iron wood. The patterns are a contemporary
rendition of traditional body-painting designs
recreated on sculptures. Jilamara artists use a
palette of black, yellow, red and white, sourced
from local ochres.
